Another US serviceman has been found dead in a remote area of Afghanistan.

The body of the second of two US servicemen who went missing in Afghanistan last week has been found in the eastern province of Logar.

Petty Officer Jarod Newlove's body was found on Wednesday, three days after the recovery of the remains of Justin McNeley in Logar on Sunday.

The two vanished last Friday after driving out of a military base without escort, the reasons for which remain unclear.
