    (IANS)

A gang of thieves in Britain, who made rap videos taunting policemen and then posted these on YouTube, has been caught and jailed.

'Night Crawlers' gang led by Matthew Murtagh struck at 17 homes. They boasted they could never be apprehended, The Sun reported Monday.

They stole luxury cars, jewellery, TVs, and mobile phones in Croydon, south London, and north Surrey.

Croydon Crown Court was told that Murtagh even left messages on the phone of an officer saying: 'You'll never find me.'

He also said: 'I'll be celebrating X-mas with my mates.'

'Their YouTube videos are a glorification of their criminality,' detective inspector Lee Hill of Scotland Yard was quoted as saying.

Murtagh, Michael Hunt, Kevin McBarron, Daryl Axten, and Christopher Brookes were jailed for offences ranging from burglary to handling stolen goods.
