Graphene transistors will change performance of mobiles and computers
    Middle East Star
    Sunday 5th September, 2010

UCLA researchers in the US have fabricated the fastest ever graphene transistor.

Graphene, a one-atom-thick layer of graphitic carbon, has become the latest technical innovation for use in high-speed radio-frequency electronics.

The UCLA team has now developed an improved process for graphene transistors, after exploring problems associated with the shrinking scale of electronics.

The group has been able to overcome alignment difficulties previously encountered in the highest speed graphene transistors.
